I’m a little bit tired of the obsessing over HB2. Now, it’s a terrible bill, but this boycott stuff is ridiculous. I just flagged a google bad review of a local business which was nothing but a diatribe about HB2. Winston-Salem, for example, had a non-discrimination ordinance which was voided by the bill, as did ALL of the other major cities. Grouping businesses and people in those cities with the prejudice expressed in the legislature is about as bad as grouping people together to discriminate against them. If you want to make a difference, vote, give money to good causes, support LGBT people directly, but don’t pretend that supporting boycotts of places you never plan to go in cities that are victims of the bill is some noble deed.
